- Mayday (五月天; pinyin: Wu Yue Tian)
- Taiwanese alternative rock band formed in the late 1990s with five members: Ashin (vocalist), Monster, (lead guitar) Stone (lead guitar), Masa (bass guitar) and Guan You (drums).
- Origins: So Band (1995-1997) with Ashin, Monster and Qian You Da (drums), later to be joined by Masa and Stone, and finally by Guan You in 1999.
- Record labels: Bin Music Co. Ltd (2006-present), Rock Records, Universal Music Group, A-Sketch (Japan)
- Albums: Mayday’s First Album, Viva Love, People Life Ocean Wild, Born to Love, Poetry of the Day After, The Second Round
- Popular songs: Embrace (擁抱), Peter and Mary (志明與春嬌)
- Awards/acclaim: 2001, 2004, 2009 and 2012 Golden Melody Award for Best Band, nicknamed “king of concert” in China.
- Songs are mostly written in Mandarin with some Taiwanese Hokkien tracks.
- Influences include the Beatles, U2, Oasis, Mr. Children, Sting, Wu Bai and China Blue.
